A lifelong Detroiter, Scott Reizen founded The Reizen Law Group to give injured people what the insurance companies hope they never find: a tenacious fighter and a tireless advocate in their corner. Over the course of his career, Scott has personally handled and resolved thousands of cases — from the smallest claims to the most complex, high-stakes matters — recovering meaningful results for clients when it mattered most.

Scott earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan before continuing on to the University of Michigan Law School for his Juris Doctor. He began his legal career on the insurance defense side, representing major insurers in the same kinds of cases he now handles for plaintiffs. That experience gave him a perspective most plaintiff attorneys simply do not have — an insider’s understanding of the tactics insurance companies use to delay, deny, and devalue legitimate claims.

After seeing firsthand how those tactics hurt real people, Scott made it his mission to stand on the other side. Today, he is a fierce advocate for those who have been victimized by personal injury accidents and for families who have suffered the devastating loss of a loved one through wrongful death. With thousands of cases successfully resolved, he brings both the experience and the relentless drive it takes to win.

Beyond the Practice

Outside the office, Scott is a proud Michigan dad. You’ll find him in cold rinks cheering on a hockey game, on the sidelines of a lacrosse field, or listening to his son lay down a beat on the drums at home. A lifelong Wolverine — undergrad and law school — he rarely misses a Michigan football Saturday and bleeds maize and blue.

When he isn’t with his family, he’s traveling somewhere new or lost in a good book.

The way Scott shows up for the people he loves is the way he shows up for his clients — every call returned, every question answered, and every fight taken all the way.
